A Bunk Bed That Comes Apart

The Zorven bunk bed is the convertible version of this twin over twin metal frame, built to come apart as readily as it goes together. Round steel posts stand at all four corners, welded and bolted into side rails that carry a full steel slat deck on each level, so a mattress sits directly on the frame without a box spring above or below. Guardrails enclose both long sides of the upper bunk, and a ladder of flat rungs climbs the end frame. When the room changes, the upper bunk unbolts and comes down to stand on its own legs, leaving two complete twin beds, one of them railed along the back and both ends. The lower frame stands clear of the floor for bins and luggage, and the powder-coated surface wipes down with a damp cloth.

Care Instructions

• Wipe the frame with a soft damp cloth and dry it right away
• Avoid abrasive powders, scouring pads, bleach and solvent-based cleaners on the coating
• Vacuum dust from the slat deck when changing the sheets
• Retighten every bolt after the first two weeks of use, then check them every few months
• Check the ladder and guardrail connections whenever you strip the top bunk
• Touch up any chip in the coating so bare steel does not sit exposed to damp
• Use the supplied tools when converting to two beds rather than forcing a joint apart
• Lift the frame clear of the floor when repositioning rather than dragging it
