A Bunk Bed That Plugs In

The Uvella bunk bed is the desk version of this full over twin metal frame, drawn so the middle of the structure becomes a workspace rather than empty air. Square steel tube posts stand at all four corners, carrying twenty steel slats on each level so a mattress goes down without a box spring above or below. A desk spans the width of the frame beneath the upper bunk with two AC outlets, a USB port and a Type-C port set flush into the surface, and the cord reaches a wall socket from where the frame stands. A steel mesh panel above the desk carries six hooks, and four open shelves fill the ends beside it. The ladder bolts to either side, and guardrails enclose the upper bunk along both long sides.

Care Instructions

• Unplug the charging station at the wall before wiping the desktop or the frame around it
• Keep drinks and any liquid away from the outlets and the ports
• Route the power cord clear of the ladder and the walkway, and do not pinch it under a frame leg
• Wipe the desktop and shelves with a soft damp cloth and dry immediately
• Wipe the steel frame with a soft damp cloth and dry it right away
• Avoid abrasive powders, scouring pads, bleach and solvent-based cleaners on the coating
• Dust the mesh panel with a dry cloth and lift the hooks clear when wiping behind it
• Touch up any chip in the coating so bare steel does not sit exposed to damp
• Retighten every bolt after the first two weeks of use, then check them every few months
• Retighten the ladder bolts after moving it to the other side, and check them again a week later
