A Dining Chair Framed by Angles

The Taupo dining chairs arrive as a coordinated pair, each built on a solid wood frame that works in straight lengths and sharp corners rather than curves. From the top of each rear post an arm angles forward and slightly down, folds at a defined corner partway along, then drops to land on the seat rail, leaving an open triangle between arm, post and seat. Where that fold sits, the frame catches the lower edge of the backrest and holds it. The back itself is upholstered across a curved panel that draws in at both sides and rises to a soft peak at the center, and the seat is a padded panel set inside the rail. Chenille covers both, its short dense pile reading matte against the planed wood. Four square-section legs taper toward the floor, the front pair carrying the arm structure above.

Care Instructions
