An ebonized finish soaks into the acacia and darkens it to near black, leaving the natural grain to surface only where light crosses it. Care Instructions

• Dust the shelves with a soft dry cloth, using a lightly damp cloth for marks and drying the wood right away
• Blot spills as soon as they happen so liquid does not sit on the finish or soak into the grain
• Set plant pots on a saucer or a mat so water does not pool on the shelf underneath
• Avoid abrasive powders, scouring pads, bleach and household cleaners on the wood
• Apply a wood-safe polish a few times a year to keep the ebonized finish even
• Keep the bookcase away from radiators, heat vents and long hours of direct sunlight, which dry out solid wood over time
• Load the heavier books on the lower tiers and the lighter items up top so the frame stays balanced
