Meet Roselyn - Both Ends Turn In

A U-shaped sofa usually means committing. The corners are built in, the shape is fixed on the day it arrives, and moving it means moving all of it. The Roselyn three-seat sectional reaches the same shape from the other direction. Three modules lock together in one line along the wall, and two loose ottomans stand at either end of it to close the U, held there by nothing but where they were put. Slide both forward and the room opens; take one away and the sofa turns into an L. Each ottoman sits a little above the cushions, which makes it a place for legs rather than a fourth seat, so two people can put their feet up at once. As a modular chenille sectional it arrives in pieces, and as a u-shaped sofa with ottomans it turns the corner twice without locking either one down. Best for family living rooms, open-plan spaces and generous bedrooms.

Take A Closer Look

Tufted Pleated Backrest
1.

Tufted Pleated Backrest

One deep pleat crosses each backrest and gathers the padding into a pair of blocks, the upper sitting fuller than the lower. Stitching stays on the reverse, so the front shows only the fold and the shadow it holds.

Deep Chenille Seat Cushions

Deep Chenille Seat Cushions

Each cushion measures 8.6 inches from frame to top, so sitting down carries on a moment longer than expected before anything firm answers. Foam takes the first of the weight and a spring pack below it takes the rest.

Metal Connectors, Inside Faces
3.

Metal Connectors, Inside Faces

The connectors sit on the faces where two modules meet, hidden once the pieces are pushed together. They hold the bench in one straight line, and the front edge reads as a single length broken only at the joins.

Two Ottomans, Two Ends

Two Ottomans, Two Ends

Neither ottoman fastens to the bench, so each one stands where it is set and moves when the room changes. Both tops sit above the cushion line, which puts them under the legs of whoever takes an end seat.
