The Nutton dining chairs arrive as a coordinated pair, each built on a back that curves down both sides into low scooped edges rather than stopping at the shoulders. The face of the backrest is pulled into diamond tufting across woven upholstery, button after button, and a border of individually set nailheads follows the crown, turns down each side, and closes along the scooped edge above the seat. Beneath it sits a deep foam cushion, squared at the front and drawn in at the sides where the fabric meets the frame. Four solid wood legs carry the frame in two shapes, the front pair square and tapered, the rear pair curving outward and back from under the seat to land behind the line of the backrest. Protective glides close off each foot, and the back narrows toward the crown so the widest point of each chair stays down at the seat.
