Meet Nutton - Two Shapes Under One Seat

Most dining chairs repeat one leg four times, and the Nutton dining chairs take the other route: square tapered posts stand straight at the front while the rear pair curves out and back from under the seat, landing behind the line of the backrest. That one difference gives the pair its stance, reaching behind the back at the rear and pulling in at the front where it meets the table. Above the legs the back curves down both sides into low scooped edges, drawn into diamond tufting across the face and bordered stud by stud in nailhead trim. The Nutton chairs are where a holiday table gets dressed, where a breakfast corner stops looking temporary, and where a spare seat still reads finished. Tufted dining chairs set of 2, upholstered dining chairs with nailhead trim, scoop back dining chairs with wood legs, transitional dining room chairs. Best for transitional and traditional dining rooms, first-home hosts, and anyone furnishing a table two chairs at a time.

Diamond Tufted Back
1.

Diamond Tufted Back

Neither side of the back rises to armrest height, so the tufting carries the whole panel instead, covered buttons pulling the fabric into a diamond lattice that holds shadow between the folds and narrows toward the crown.

Woven Seat Cushion
2.

Woven Seat Cushion

The cushion is built up thick over the frame rail, its front edge squared off, wrapped in a fine slubbed weave that reads matte rather than glossy and gives under weight and comes back instead of pressing flat.

Curved Rear Legs

Each rear leg leaves the seat frame straight, then bends outward and back to land its foot behind the line of the backrest, while the front pair stays square and tapered, giving one chair two different leg shapes.

Nailhead Stud Border

Nailhead Stud Border

Individually set metal studs border the outline of the back, over the crown, down both sides and along the low scooped edge above the seat, each one placed by hand so the spacing shifts slightly from stud to stud.
