A Low Loft That Climbs From Either Side

The Norela loft bed is the full size version of this low frame, built so the ladder is not fixed where the factory decided. A solid pine frame carries fourteen slats for a Full mattress with no box spring, purchased separately, and the ladder mounts at the left or the right end depending on where the door, the window and the wall put it. Guardrails enclose the deck with solid panelled sections at both ends and open rails along the long side. The deck sits just over two and a quarter feet off the floor, low enough to make the bed while standing beside it. Beneath, the floor stays clear from post to post with nothing built in. The deck is rated to 350 pounds.

Care Instructions

• Dust the frame with a dry cloth, following the grain rather than working across it
• Wipe finished surfaces with a soft damp cloth and dry immediately so water does not sit on the finish
• Avoid abrasive powders, scouring pads, bleach and solvent-based cleaners on any surface
• Keep the frame away from radiators, heat vents and long hours of direct sunlight, which can dry or fade the wood
• Check the slats every few months to make sure none has shifted out of position
• Retighten every frame bolt after the first two weeks of use, then check them every few months
• Check that the ladder brackets are fully tightened after any change of side
• Lift the frame clear of the floor when repositioning rather than dragging it
