One Module That Grows the Sofa

The Montclair Cloud armless module is built for the moment a sofa needs one more seat. It is the same chenille, the same seat height and the same wood ball legs as the rest of the Montclair Cloud range, cut without arms so it slips into the middle of a row. At just under twenty-eight inches wide, it is roughly the step between the Montclair sizes, turning a loveseat into a 3-seater or a 3-seater into a 4-seater. Snap-lock brackets under the base join it to the module beside it. On its own it works as an armless accent chair, with two round bolster pillows leaning against an upholstered back and a thick seat cushion that sinks softly under you.

Care Instructions

• Allow 2 to 7 days after unboxing for the vacuum-compressed seat cushion and pillows to recover their full shape, and pat them by hand to help them along
• When adding this module to an existing Montclair Cloud sofa, slight color differences can occur between fabric batches; this is normal for dyed upholstery and is not a defect
• Vacuum the chenille weekly with a soft brush attachment, working in one direction
• Spot clean with a damp cloth and a mild upholstery cleaner, blotting rather than rubbing, and test a hidden area first
• Fluff and turn the bolster pillows and seat cushion regularly so they wear evenly
• Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to limit fading
• Check the snap-lock brackets every few months and reseat them if the modules have drifted apart
• Lift the module rather than dragging it when moving
