Two Ottomans Make a Double Chaise

The Aven modular sofa is made for the movie night where nobody wants to sit upright. Two frameless seat modules, each with a built-in backrest and a curved bolster arm, buckle together with webbing straps over an anti-slip base, and two matching ottomans line up across the front. Because the ottomans are cut to the same height as the seat, they meet it flush and turn the whole sofa into a double chaise, with room for two people to lie side by side. Pull them away and they become footrests, spare seats or one at each end. Every piece is 32D foam with no wood frame, covered in a textured velvet stitched into rounded tufted sections, and the seat is set deep and low with a backrest that leans away.

Care Instructions

• Velvet looks lighter or darker depending on the viewing angle, and this shading is normal for velvet, not a defect
• Color may look slightly different from the photos depending on room lighting
• Sitting, pressing or brushing against the velvet shifts the pile and leaves shaded marks, which brush back out with a soft clothes brush stroked in one direction
• Allow up to 72 hours after unboxing for all four pieces to expand to full shape, patting the surfaces by hand to help them along
• Vacuum weekly with a soft brush attachment, working in the direction of the pile
• Spot clean with a damp cloth and a mild upholstery cleaner, testing a hidden area first
• Blot spills with a dry cloth right away instead of rubbing them into the pile
• Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to limit fading of the velvet
• Avoid abrasive sponges, bleach and ammonia-based cleaners
• Check the straps under the seat modules every few months and re-buckle them if the seats have drifted apart
• The silicone grip pads under the seat modules hold best on a rug; on a bare hard floor, place the sofa on a rug if the seats start to shift
• Swap the two ottomans between left and right now and then so all four pieces wear evenly
• Lift the seat modules and ottomans instead of dragging them when moving
