The Alvik chair is built around a backrest that locks through a range rather than holding one angle, tilting from upright to 115 degrees and stopping wherever the lever is released. Under the seat, a footrest pulls out on a metal frame and extends far enough to carry the legs straight, turning the chair from a desk seat into a recliner without leaving the desk. The seat itself is layered rather than simply padded, a pocket spring unit beneath high-density foam and a memory foam top layer, so it holds its height through long sittings instead of compressing into a flat pad. The high back carries padded side bolsters that close in around the ribs, a liftable headrest that slides up and down the frame, and a separate lumbar cushion that moves to wherever your back needs it. PU leather wraps the whole chair over a metal five-star base on castors.

Care Instructions

• Wipe the PU leather with a soft damp cloth and a leather-safe cleaner, testing on a hidden area first
• Blot spills promptly with a clean dry cloth to keep moisture from settling into the seams
• Avoid harsh chemicals, solvents and abrasive cleaners on the PU leather, which can damage the surface
• Keep the chair out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the colour and the leather finish
• Push the footrest fully back under the seat before rolling the chair or standing up
• Release the recline lock while seated rather than letting the backrest snap forward
• Clear hair and grit from the castors so they keep rolling smoothly on hard floors
• Check the gas cylinder and the base hardware periodically and tighten any loose connections
• Keep the load within the stated capacity, and avoid standing or kneeling on the seat
• Lift rather than drag the chair when moving it between rooms
