A Desk That Folds Into a Chalkboard

The Aero desk is a wall-mounted cabinet with a work surface hinged to its face. Open, the desktop swings down and out to a full 31.81 inches of depth, held level by two metal support arms and rated to carry 132 pounds. Closed, it lifts back flat against the cabinet, and the panel that was underneath the desk becomes a chalkboard facing the room, so the folded desk works as a message board rather than a blank white rectangle on the wall. The cabinet itself runs just under ten inches deep and rises over five feet, carrying eight open compartments in a stepped arrangement, wide ones for binders and books, narrow ones for stationery and small items. Care Instructions

• Wipe the cabinet and desktop with a soft damp cloth and dry them right away
• Clean the chalkboard with a dry eraser first, then a barely damp cloth, letting it dry fully before writing again
• Blot spills as soon as they happen so liquid does not sit along the panel edges or the hinge line
• Avoid abrasive powders, scouring pads, bleach and household cleaners on the panels
• Clear the desktop before folding it up, and lower it slowly rather than letting it drop
• Check that the support arms are fully extended and seated before loading the desk
