Aare light camel acacia wood dining chairs with woven rope seats and arms around a round dining table

Meet Aare - Two Weaves, One Chair

Look at the seat and then at the back, and they are not the same weave. The Aare dining chairs run a diamond mesh across the seat, cords crossing both ways so the panel dips gently toward the center once someone sits down, and then switch to a horizontal wrap on the back, where the cords gather into a dense braid at the frame before opening into a diamond field at the middle. Two patterns on one chair, doing two different jobs: the seat holds weight, the back holds shape. These are acacia wood dining chairs where the frame stays entirely visible, squared and tapered with the grain running clear. As rope seat dining chairs go, the open mesh keeps them lighter to look at than a padded pair. Best for kitchens, dining rooms and anyone furnishing braided dining chairs that show how they were made.

Diamond-Woven Rope Seat

Cords cross in both directions across the seat frame, opening a diamond mesh that dips gently toward the center as the weave takes weight and returns to shape once the chair is empty.

Horizontally Wrapped Back

The back uses a different weave entirely: cords wrap across the opening and pack into a dense braid where they meet the wood, leaving an open diamond field across the middle of the panel.

Solid Acacia Frame

Squared members of acacia carry both woven panels, the grain reading clearly through a clear finish along the legs, the arms and the surrounds that hold each rope panel taut in place.

Level Arm-to-Leg Joint

Each arm carries straight back from the top of the front leg to the rear post without a curve, closing the side of the chair into a rectangle where wood frames rope on all four edges.
