A Metal Bunk With a Storage Wall

The Valren bunk bed is the storage version of this queen over queen metal frame, drawn so one end carries a wall of functions rather than a plain post. Square steel tube posts stand at all four corners, carrying a steel slat deck on each level so a queen mattress goes down without a box spring above or below. At one end, a perforated steel pegboard fills the panel between the two bunks, a hanging rod spans the space behind it for shirts and bags, and two drawers glide out at floor level on metal runners. A shelf sits beside the upper bunk at pillow height, and a second shelf spans the lower bunk headboard. A ladder climbs the opposite end, and guardrails enclose the upper bunk along both long sides.

Care Instructions

• Wipe the steel frame with a soft damp cloth and dry it right away
• Avoid abrasive powders, scouring pads, bleach and solvent-based cleaners on the coating
• Wipe the shelves and drawer fronts with a barely damp cloth and dry immediately
• Dust the pegboard with a dry cloth and lift any hooks clear when wiping behind it
• Wipe the drawer runners with a dry cloth and clear grit so they keep gliding smoothly
• Close both drawers fully before moving the frame or stripping the lower bunk
• Clear the headboard shelves before changing the sheets so nothing gets knocked off
• Touch up any chip in the coating so bare steel does not sit exposed to damp
• Retighten every bolt after the first two weeks of use, then check them every few months
