A Sofa Bed That Holds Drinks

The Somerset pull-out sofa bed carries a built-in cup holder recessed into the top face of each rolled arm, one at either end, sized to hold a mug or a tumbler upright beside the seat. The outer face of the same arm holds a charging port within reach of either cushion. Underneath, the sofa is built as two side-by-side seat sections rather than one full-width panel: each slides forward on its own steel base, and both together open a broad lounge surface with a narrow gap left down the center. Two padded back panels tilt down behind the extended seats to complete the surface, or stay upright while the seats remain closed. Dot tufting draws the chenille into rounded pockets across the seats, backs and arms, and a pull tab at the front of each section marks where to grip. The same woven chenille wraps the frame from the arms through to the back panels.

Care Instructions

• Vacuum the chenille weekly with a soft brush attachment, drawing the brush in one direction along the pile
• Work the brush through the tufted pockets, where dust settles faster than on the open panels
• Blot spills immediately with a clean dry cloth rather than rubbing them into the pile
• Spot-clean with a cloth lightly dampened in a fabric-safe cleaner, testing on a hidden section first
