A Criss Cross Chair That Keeps Its Arms

The Selva chair is the armed version of the criss cross silhouette, built so a wide seat and full arm support stop being a trade-off. Each armrest folds upward through six positions, clearing the sides of the seat for cross-legged sitting and dropping back down for ordinary desk work. The seat itself spans wider than a standard task chair, built over a solid and engineered wood core with double-layer foam padding, and the button-tufted back curves gently at the lumbar. A removable headrest mounts above it on twin supports and lifts away entirely for a low-back profile. Below, a five-star steel base rotates a full circle on casters, with gas-lift height adjustment by lever underneath. Rated to 300 pounds.

Care Instructions

• For the faux leather seat, wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry immediately rather than letting moisture sit in the seams
• For the sherpa seat, vacuum weekly with a soft brush attachment to lift dust before it works into the pile
• Spot-clean sherpa with a cloth dampened in mild upholstery cleaner, blotting rather than rubbing so the pile stays even
• Test any cleaner on a hidden section first and let the area dry fully before sitting down
• Avoid abrasive powders, scouring pads, bleach and solvent-based cleaners on either upholstery
• Keep the chair away from radiators, heat vents and long hours of direct sunlight
• Wipe the steel base with a dry cloth and clear hair and dust from the caster wheels so they keep rolling smoothly
• Fold the armrests fully down before lifting or moving the chair
• Check the armrest, headrest and base hardware every few months and tighten anything that has loosened
