Meet Roselyn - The Corner That Moves

An L-shaped sofa this long usually settles where it lands. The corner is part of the frame, so pointing it the other way means emptying the room and starting again. The Roselyn four-seat sectional keeps the corner loose. Four modules lock in one line along the wall, an arm at each outer end and none in the middle, and a single ottoman stands at whichever end the room wants. It is the lightest piece in the group by a good margin, which is why the shape of this sofa is the part of it that costs nothing to change. The ottoman sits a little above the cushions, so what it holds is legs rather than a fifth person, and it works just as well pulled away as a stool. As a modular chenille sectional with tufted pleated backrests, this l-shaped sofa with ottoman takes a long wall and turns only once. Best for households of four and open-plan rooms.

Pleated Two-Tier Backrest
1.

Pleated Two-Tier Backrest

Each of the four backrests is folded once across its width, which sets a smaller block below a larger one. The fold line catches the light differently from the faces beside it, so the seam shows without any stitching.

Deep Chenille Seat Cushions

Deep Chenille Seat Cushions

Every cushion measures 8.6 inches from the frame to its top, so weight goes in a fair way before it is answered. The foam gives first, then a spring pack beneath it holds what is left.

Movable Ottoman Corner Piece

Movable Ottoman Corner Piece

The ottoman carries no fixing of any kind, so it holds the corner only while it stands there. Its top finishes above the cushion line, which is the difference between somewhere to rest the legs and a longer seat.

Narrow Rolled Arms

Narrow Rolled Arms

Each arm rolls over into a soft round edge and stops there, slim enough to read as a border rather than a block. A bolster pillow leans against the inside of each one, close to hand and easy to move.
