The Pulse desk is built on the frame a writing desk had long before laptops, four legs turned on a lathe with rings and a swelled foot, tied together by an H-shaped stretcher that runs between them a few inches off the floor. Two drawers sit side by side in the apron, both the same width, shallow enough for stationery, chargers and paperwork but wide enough that nothing has to be stacked to fit. What the traditional frame does not usually carry is the power station set flush into the back edge of the desktop, two grounded outlets alongside a USB-C and a USB-A port, wired so a laptop, a lamp and a phone all draw from the surface itself. The top spans 60 inches, wide enough for a monitor and an open notebook side by side, finished with a printed grain that wipes clean.
