The Missouri dining chairs arrive as a coordinated pair, each built on a high wing-back frame that curves forward at the shoulders and draws in at the waist. The front face of the backrest and the seat are upholstered plain in velvet, smooth across the whole surface, while the outer face of the back carries deep diamond tufting drawn down over button after button. A line of silver nailheads follows the entire outline of the backrest, over the shoulders and down both sides, then rings the seat cushion in a second continuous run. The seat is built over high-density foam and steel springs so it holds shape rather than compressing flat, and four solid wood legs taper down from the frame, the front pair straight and the rear pair splayed back, each ending in a threaded peg that levels the chair.

Care Instructions

• Vacuum the velvet regularly with a soft brush attachment, drawing in the direction of the pile to keep it even
• Spot-clean with a cloth lightly dampened in mild upholstery cleaner, blotting rather than rubbing to protect the pile
• Test any cleaner on a hidden section of the frame first, and let the velvet dry fully before use
• Brush the pile back into one direction after cleaning so the surface reads even across the panel
• Work a soft brush around each tufting button to lift crumbs and dust out of the folds
• Dust the nailhead trim gently with a dry cloth, taking care not to catch the velvet edge
• Keep the chairs out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the velvet colour across all four variants
