A Sofa Bed That Splits

Each cushioned section slides forward on its own steel base, so one half can open into a chaise while the other stays upright as a sofa seat, and both together form a broad lounge surface with a narrow gap left down the center. Two padded back panels tilt back from the upright sitting angle, and dot-tufted plush upholstery wraps the seats, backs and rolled pillow-top arms in one material family. A fabric pull loop sits under the front edge of each seat section for a dedicated grip, storage pockets are stitched into the outer face of both arms, and a USB charging port sits within reach of either end. Care Instructions

• Vacuum the plush upholstery weekly with a soft brush attachment, drawing the brush in one direction across the pile
• Work the brush along the tufted seams, where dust settles faster than on the open panels
• Blot spills immediately with a clean dry cloth rather than rubbing them into the pile
• Spot-clean with a cloth lightly dampened in a fabric-safe cleaner, testing on a hidden section first
• Disconnect the sofa from power before cleaning around the charging panel
• Keep liquids and damp cloths away from the charging port and its opening
• Route the power cable behind the sofa and clear of the walkway and the pull-out path
• Clear dust, threads and small objects from beneath each seat section so the bases slide without catching
• Guide each seat section straight forward by its pull loop rather than dragging it sideways
• Empty the arm pockets before wiping the outer panels
