An Accent Chair Built for Reading

The Harison wingback accent chair is made for the corner where you read, scroll or have a coffee before the house wakes up. The back rises tall behind you, stitched into a grid of sixteen padded squares, with a top edge that dips in the middle and lifts at both corners into the wings. Below it, two padded arms flare outward from the seat instead of closing in, leaving room to sit sideways or tuck your legs up. The matching ottoman carries the same grid in twelve squares and the same cover, so the two read as a set whether side by side or apart. Both stand on tapered solid beech wood legs that splay outward, and under the chair seat a metal cross brace takes all four legs.

Care Instructions

• Faux suede (brown): the distressed finish is printed to look worn, so patches of lighter and darker tone vary from piece to piece; this is part of the look, not a defect
• Faux suede (brown): brush the surface with a soft, dry brush to lift dust and keep the nap even
• Faux suede (brown): blot spills right away with a dry cloth, then dab with a barely damp cloth if needed, never rub
• Woven fabric (beige): vacuum with a soft brush attachment to lift dust from the weave and the stitched grid lines
• Woven fabric (beige): spot clean with a damp cloth and a mild upholstery cleaner, blotting rather than rubbing, and test a hidden area first
• Let either cover air dry fully before sitting
• Wipe the beech legs with a dry or barely damp cloth, then dry them
• Keep the chair and ottoman out of long periods of direct sunlight, which can fade both covers
• Check and tighten the leg bolts under the seat every few months
• Lift the chair and ottoman rather than dragging them across the floor
