A Sleeper Sofa With Two Stops

The Freja velvet sleeper sofa carries its bed frame beneath the seat rather than folding the back down. Drawing the frame partway out extends the seat into a chaise lounge with the back still upright behind it; drawing it fully out opens a queen-size sleeping surface, sixty inches across and eighty inches deep. Two back cushions lift off entirely for the flat position and return for sitting, and the seat and back cushion covers come off for cleaning. Velvet upholstery wraps the arms, seat and back over a steel and plywood frame, with a fixed storage pocket stitched into the outer face of one arm. Concealed wheels beneath the frame take the weight when the sofa moves. Padded roll arms cap both ends at above-seat height.

Care Instructions

• Smooth the velvet by hand after unpacking, patting along the pile to lift creases left by compression
• Avoid pressing an iron to the velvet, since direct heat flattens the pile permanently
• Vacuum the velvet weekly with a soft brush attachment, drawing the brush in the direction of the pile
• Blot spills immediately with a clean dry cloth rather than rubbing them into the pile
