Meet Douro - Tufting Held to the Center

Most tufted dining chairs carry the pattern edge to edge, buttons pulling all the way out to the seams. The Douro dining chairs stop short of that: the diamond grid sits in the middle of the back and a plain border runs around all four sides of it, so what the room sees is a panel of tufting framed by smooth fabric rather than a back covered in buttons. Above the grid the crown rolls forward in a soft edge, and below it four square solid wood legs stand straight at the front and rake back at the rear. Button tufted dining chairs set of 4, upholstered parsons dining chairs, high back dining chairs with wood legs, transitional dining room chairs. Best for formal dining rooms, first-home entertainers, and tables that get set properly more than once a year.

Center Tufted Panel
1.

Center Tufted Panel

Covered buttons pull the fabric into a diamond grid across the middle of the back, and a plain border carries around all four sides of the grid, so the pattern reads as a framed panel rather than a treatment covering the whole back.

Rolled Top Edge

Rolled Top Edge

The crown of the back turns forward in a soft roll rather than cutting straight across, so the tall upright line finishes with a curve that catches light along its full width from across the room.

Squared Seat Cushion

Squared Seat Cushion

The seat sits as a defined block over the frame, its front edge rolled and its sides upholstered straight down, deep enough that it gives under weight and comes back instead of pressing flat.

Square Solid Wood Legs

Square Solid Wood Legs

Four timber legs carry a light natural finish with the grain showing through, standing square and straight at the front while the rear pair rakes back, each closed off with a floor pad at the tip.
