Meet Charlton - Nothing Showing at the Edge

Look along the outer edge of most upholstered shells and a line of stitching runs the whole way around, holding the cover down where it wraps the rim. The Charlton faux suede dining chairs close that edge without one. The nap turns under and finishes flush along the full outline, so the single curve at the waist, where the back turns forward into the seat, is the only line drawn anywhere on the piece. The shell beneath is formed as one plane, pulling in at the waist and opening toward the shoulders, its brushed surface mottled light to dark across the same panel. Four tapered steel legs drop below in matte black. Faux suede dining chairs set of 4, distressed dining chairs, one-piece shell dining chairs, industrial dining room chairs. Best for eat-in kitchens, apartment dining corners, and first-home tables furnished four seats at a time.

Waisted Shell Outline
1.

Waisted Shell Outline

The shell draws in at the waist and opens again toward the shoulders before rounding off at the crown, so the outline rises and falls across its height rather than climbing as a straight vertical edge.

Curved Waist Seam
2.

Curved Waist Seam

One stitched curve crosses the shell where the back turns forward into the seat, and it is the only line on the piece, since the outer rim is turned under and closed off with nothing showing along its full length.

Tapered Steel Legs
3.

Tapered Steel Legs

Four legs bolt straight to the underside of the shell and splay outward in matte black, narrowing toward the floor with nothing bridging them and closing off each foot with an anti-slip cap.

Distressed Suede Nap

Distressed Suede Nap

The brushed surface is worked light across the open face and drawn darker into every edge and fold, mottling the tone the way worn leather ages, with the pattern falling differently on each of the four.
