A Counter Stool the Frame Closes

The Adige counter height bar stool set is the woven version of this silhouette, built so the frame does the enclosing and the cushion does the rest. A curved back sweeps from one side around to the other, filled with a wide open weave that light passes straight through, and at each end a slim tube leaves the arc and drops forward and down to meet the seat rail, closing the sides without ever becoming an armrest. Below that the seat is a round cushion in teddy fleece over foam, edges rounded the whole way with no corner anywhere on it. Four metal legs splay outward from the seat frame, printed in an oak wood grain and tapering toward the floor, joined near the base by a stretcher that closes on all four sides. Adjustable pads sit under each leg for uneven kitchen flooring.

Care Instructions

• Brush the teddy fleece with a soft dry brush to lift the pile, working in one direction rather than back and forth
• Vacuum the cushion on a low setting without a beater bar, since a stiff brush flattens curled pile
• Blot spills straight away with a clean dry cloth rather than rubbing, so nothing works down into the pile
• Spot clean the fleece with a fabric-safe cleaner on a barely damp cloth, testing on a hidden area first, and let it dry fully before sitting
• Dust the woven back with a soft dry brush or a vacuum brush attachment, reaching into the open squares where debris settles
• Wipe the woven back with a damp cloth when needed and dry it straight after, since standing water sits in the weave
• Wipe the legs and stretcher with a soft dry cloth, and keep abrasive pads and solvents off them, since the wood grain is a printed surface rather than timber
• Keep the stools out of long hours of direct sunlight, which lightens the weave and the fleece at different rates
• Level the adjustable pads by hand and retighten the leg and back frame hardware every few months, without a power driver
• Lift rather than drag the stools when repositioning them, and check the pads for grit before setting them down
